"Killer" Cub Swanson was born November 2, 1983 and grew up in Palm Springs, California. He attended Cathedral City High School along side boxer Timothy Bradley. Cub started his MMA career at the age of 19 years old. A professional Featherweight since 2004, Swanson holds the most UFC post-fight bonus awards in the division history, including his WEC record he has been awarded with ten Fight of the Night honors, including 2016 Fight of the Year and a 2022 UFC Hall of Fame induction into the Fight Wing.

One of the most memorable brawls in featherweight division history. Back in 2016 in a bout that went the distance, Cub Swanson received the unanimous decision win over opponent Dooho Choi in an Octagon battle that would receive both Fight of the Night and Fight of the Year honors.
In an Octagon career that has spanned more than a decade, featherweight Cub Swanson has earned the most post-fight bonuses in division history (9) and recently was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame Fight Wing after an epic battle with Dooho Choi back in 2016.
